Three years ago today when I saw your face for the very first time,

I could hardly believe you were mine.

This morning as I stare at you sleeping next to me,

I am amazed that I feel exactly the same way.

I dreamed about you my whole life and some days

I wondered if you would ever really be more than a dream.

You have made each and every one

of these 1095 days the very best days of my life.

(even the ones when I told you that you drove me crazy!)

You captivate and charm everyone you meet and

although you are so very beautiful;

that physical beauty itself pales in comparison

to the incredible person

I see emerging from within you.

I hope you will one day realize how truly honored I am to be your mother

and to follow you on this incredible journey ahead of you called:

LIFE.

My baby has become a little girl.

And I can't find the pause button.

My friend LISA, photographer extraordinaire who consistently inspires me to

improve my own photography,

has begun Black and White Wednesdays on her blog

and has invited us to take part in her Black and White carnival.

I thought I'd post these 3 favorite photos of JR and Sweetie Pie because no matter my mood;

I look at these photos and they make my cheeks hurt from smiling.

Update on the Infamous Haircut

See Wild Child?
Sometimes she surprises me.

She hopped right up on that chair without a wimper or a worry in the world.



Once she caught a glimpse of her fine self in the mirror,

she couldn't take her eyes off her own reflection!


All the other clients in the salon were giggling hysterically (along with me!) as they watched her sit so tall and proud on the booster seat in her chair; just like a big girl with her coffee (translation...coffee cup filled with M & Ms) and enjoy her blow dry in the loving hands of Lu.


She loved her new coif,

so did her brother (that's him in the background below gazing lovingly at Beautyrella)



It looked like this for the entire 15 minute ride home
and then Wild Child returned.

Time

I love my wild haired child...however, she is doing her best sheepdog

impersonation these days and she can't see a thing so its time for a trim.

I taught myself to cut both JR and WonderBoy's hair but I just don't

have the nerve to touch one little hair on Sweet Pea's head.

I'm going to have to break down and call in a professional!
