She and her father stood on the curb this afternoon waiting to cross Main Street for opening day ice cream at Rita's. Traffic whizzed by...and she became impatient staring at the line at Rita's but unable to get there. Just then several ducks from the waterway behind began to cross the street. The cars immediately began to stop. She looked at her father and asked "why do the cars stop for the animals and not the humans?" What an incredible gift we have been given of being in a front row seat watching this little girl's mind develop.
